The Oakland A’s are looking to move to Las Vegas and their local fan base, what little are left, are not taking it lying down. They staged a ‘reverse boycott,’ imploring all fans to show up and support their franchise. Turns out, they still couldn’t get many fans to show up and it only illustrated how untenable remaining in Oakland clearly is. The real question Doug has isn’t whether they should move, it’s why they didn’t leave years ago.
Doug Gottlieb: “Of all the teams to do a reverse boycott and to really protest to get mad about them leaving, why the A’s and not the Raiders or the Warriors? Because you’re the last ones to go? And by the way, you should have been the first ones to go.”
