Rob Parker: “If I’m Michigan State, I want nothing to do with Urban Meyer. Urban Meyer is unhireable at this point. As soon as he was out of Jacksonville, that team got better. It never felt he wanted to coach that team, and was just there for the money. He was an embarrassment to the organization.... Don’t forget what happened at Ohio State with his assistant, with domestic violence. If I’m Michigan State, with all the controversy that they had, they need to clean their slate, and Urban Meyer is not the right guy.”
Chris Broussard: “I disagree, he has a high-profile job right now with FS1. If I ran a Christian University and was bound by principle, I wouldn’t even consider him, but Michigan State? I feel like he could get hired. At the end of the day, the veil has been lifted: the goal in College Sports is to win. Now that players are getting paid, the innocence has sort of been lost.”
