The New England Patriots have fallen on hard times and questions about if or when owner Robert Kraft will fire HC Bill Belichick are starting to swirl. QB Mac Jones looks to be regressing, they just don’t have the talent to compete, they’ll probably end up with fewer wins than last season, and that’s when most head coaches become scapegoats. Doug Gottlieb urges them to make sure they have a plan in place before they ditch one of the greatest coaches in the history of the NFL.
Doug Gottlieb: “You look at the New England Patriots and it’s very reasonable to think that maybe it’s time to replace Bill Belichick. Now...the obvious first step is; you got to at least have a plan in place...you got to figure out who the next guy is.”
