Dan Patrick is still scratching his head regarding the handling of Cleveland Browns QB Deshaun Watson. He was pulled from their win against the Indianapolis Colts yesterday and it was never made entirely clear why. He’s not in concussion protocol and there was no mention of his shoulder injury so why, exactly, was he benched? Dan thinks the whole situation remains suspect.
Dan Patrick: “I’m still trying to figure out what happened to Deshaun Watson...Was he benched because he was playing poorly? His shoulder? His head? OK, something’s going on here. Now the coaches didn’t want him to play? And then the coaches, what, 2 weeks ago, said that Deshaun wasn’t ready to play.”
