Dan discusses why he believes the Jets, in a way, owe it to Zach Wilson to go out and try to prove himself the remainder of the season. Although Wilson’s comments are considered “career suicide,” Dan believes the Jets are also culpable in his rocky career. Listen to the segment above!

Dan Patrick: “I do think the Jets have done him dirty. He wasn’t going to play this year, it was going to be a redshirt year, he was going to watch Aaron Rodgers, and then that changed four plays in... Just play the kid. Play him, it’s a lost season. Maybe you find out a little more about Zach Wilson from now until the end of the season. Maybe. I want to see if he really wants to play football... Tim Boyle should not play! Trevor Semien in an emergency. Put him in, let him play, don’t take him out. Sink or swim, go. Throw the ball 40 times, act like he was at BYU, just go! Let’s see what you’ve got, and run the 2-minute offense the entire game. What are we doing here? You won’t keep him next year, so let him go out and try to salvage his career. This was career suicide.”
