Brock Purdy Doesn’t Get Bonus Points for Being Mr. Irrelevant

San Francisco QB Brock Purdy is currently the odds on favorite to win the NFL MVP award this season and Doug thinks he may be getting too much credit simply because he was the last pick in the draft. The kid has an amazing team around him and just about any QB is likely to be successful with that kind of offensive firepower. It feels like he’s getting more MVP consideration because of his humble beginnings and that’s not how it should work.

Doug Gottlieb: “Just because he was Mr. Irrelevant doesn’t mean he’s the MVP...This is not me saying Brock Purdy stinks, but we saw Brock Purdy when he didn’t have Trent Williams...when he didn’t have Deebo Samuel...and he had a turnover problem.”
