The San Francisco 49ers dropped a tough game to the Baltimore Ravens and MVP candidate, QB Brock Purdy threw four interceptions in the loss. Doug Gottlieb & Dan Beyer are in for Dan Patrick and they aren’t surprised to see Purdy struggle against a strong team like the Ravens and it appears Las Vegas odds-makers agree as his MVP odds have plummeted while his teammate Christian McCaffrey is now running 2nd. It’s hard to consider him a true MVP prospect if he isn’t even the most valuable player on his own team.
Doug Gottlieb: “Calling (Brock Purdy) the MVP of the league? C’mon, dude...I think what he’s doing, 15 other guys could do if put in that situation.”
Dan Beyer: “With the MVP odds that came out, it’s not like Brock Purdy dropped from 1 to 2. Brock Purdy dropped from 1 all the way down to 5, maybe now 4 in some spots, and his teammate, Christian McCaffrey is sitting there at number 2...Vegas usually has pretty good sense of all of this and I think that they sensed it correctly...”
