The fallout from the San Francisco 49ers loss in Super Bowl LVIII has been swift and decisive as they fired Defensive Coordinator Steve Wilks today. Doug chalks it up to a lack of preparation from the defense considering the Kansas City Chiefs have run that same play in similar situations multiple times in the playoffs and yet Mecole Hardman was wide open in the end zone. Winning doesn’t happen by accident and the Niners were caught flat-footed in overtime.
