Check out the segment above as Gottlieb says Beverley should be suspended either half the season next year, or the full season, saying the ‘phony’ is trying to play a belligerent and controversial villain the same way Draymond Green has to boost his media clout when he retires.
Doug Gottlieb: “As psychotic as fans can be they still are your paying customers, and maybe the biggest challenge to professional sports over the next 10-20 years is getting people to go to the games.
First, he throws a ball not once, but twice into the stands, and the second one he fired a rocket in there. A basketball is not going to kill somebody but it does not feel good to get hit by a basketball in the dome, especially when you’re not expecting it. And from a player it’s like ‘dude, that’s our paying customer.’
It's so painfully obvious to me that he's trying to make himself out to be one of the ‘bad boys’ and benefit from it post-career the way that Draymond is going to benefit from post- career. We do know this, right? I think this shoud be a long, long suspension. I don’t think it’s crazy to say sit him down half, and even the entire year.
