New York Knicks forward Josh Hart was caught pointing out a profane chant directed at former Indiana Pacers star turned TNT broadcaster Reggie Miller during the Knicks' 130-121 win in Game 2 against Miller's former team Wednesday (May 8) night.
Miller, 58, who famously had a bitter rivalry with the Knicks during his Hall of Fame playing career, was serenaded by the Madison Square Garden crowd with "f**k you, Reggie" chants as the Knicks held a 128-118 lead with 22.5 remaining in the fourth quarter.
"I don't know if you heard but I think they said, 'f**k you,'" Hart told Miller into his microphone as the two shared a laugh.
Hart, 29, finished Wednesday's game with 19 points, 15 rebounds, seven assists one steal and one block, having played all 48 minutes. Miller, who retired as the NBA's all-time leading 3-point shooter -- now ranking fifth all-time behind Stephen Curry, Ray Allen, James Harden, and Damian Lillard -- solidified himself as one of the greatest villains in Knicks folklore when he scored 25 points in the fourth quarter -- including eight points in nine seconds -- and made a choking gesture at Academy Award-winning director and Knicks fan Spike Lee during a 93-96 win at Madison Square Garden in Game 5 of the 1994 Eastern Conference Finals exactly 29 years and one day prior to the night of Wednesday's game.
Miller was seen signing framed copies of the Daily News and the New York Post with front page articles on the incident Wednesday night.
The Knicks extended their series lead to 2-0 with Game 3 scheduled for Friday (May 10) at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.
