A strange incident took place during Dallas Mavericks guard Luka Dončić's press conference after his team's series-tying Game 2 win against the Oklahoma City Thunder in the Western Conference Semifinals Thursday (May 9) night.
Dončić was crediting his team's energy, ability to take advantage of open shots and sharing of the basketball when what appeared to be the sound of a woman having a loud orgasm was overheard in the background. The five-time All-Star appeared to stare blankly in shock before putting his head down.
“Ok, um, moving on,” a voice is heard saying in the background.
“I hope that’s not live,” Dončić said.
Doncic finished Thursday's game with 29 points, 10 rebounds and seven assists, which included scoring or assisting on 24 of the 36 points scored by the Mavericks in the first quarter, despite dealing with a right knee sprain. Forward P.J. Washington tied for a team-best 29 points, led Dallas with 11 rebounds and recorded four assists, two steals and one block.
Dončić and Washington became the first duo in NBA history to each record 10 rebounds and five three-pointers in a playoff game. The Mavericks evened the series at 1-1, forcing the Thunder's first loss of the postseason, having swept the New Orleans Pelicans in their first-round series.
