The Odd Couple with Chris Broussard and Rob Parker react to Tyronn Lue 5-year $70 Million dollar extension with the Clippers. The guys debate if this was the best move for the Clippers and whether or not Tyronn Lue should have even said yes! Listen to the full segment below!
Chris Broussard: “I was saying when the news broke a few weeks ago that the Clippers were going to do just this and I remember saying if I’m Ty Lue would I even do it? I don’t blame him for not turning down the money, coaches are getting fired left and right and somebody’s going to give you guarantee $70 million over 5 years I’m not saying I would turn it down or if anyone else would, but the question is, is it a good job????”
Rob Parker: “I think he’s deserving, I understand it! If you are Steve Ballmer and you have a coach that has done as much he can do and a lot of the stuff that has happened has nothing to do with Ty Lue, guys have been in and out of the lineup not physical able to perform. The only time his team has been to the Western Conference Finals in its history Ty Lue was the coach and that was WITHOUT Kawhi... I think he’s one of the best coaches in the NBA!”
