Jason Smith and Mike Harmon discuss Mavericks guard Luka Doncic's ejection in the fourth quarter of Game 3 of the NBA Finals. The duo debates whether the referees made the correct call and if Doncic bears responsibility for the incident as a key player for the Mavericks.
Jason Smith: "He pushes off on every play and still, when he gets called for a foul, he complains. He complains way too much for a guy that’s given all kinds of leeway offensively... He makes an emotional decision to try to draw a foul and that was just stupid! This is why teams win championships and why teams don’t. When your best player makes a bad decision like that and fouls out of the game, that’s why you don’t win!"
Mike Harmon: “HE TRIED TO DRAW A CHARGE AT THE 3-POINT ARCH! You've already committed a couple of fouls with unnecessary reach-ins on your own offensive glass. You have to play smarter, especially with only 4 minutes left. Unfortunately, as much as I like to apply superstar rules, sometimes the foul is too clear."
