Jason Smith: “What’s an example of the phrase I didn’t have that on my bingo card? Charles Barkley retiring at midnight on NBA TV on a Saturday. Next year is his last year but is it really his last year? First of all, he says I’m not going to do any interviews; he will be on Dan Patrick Monday.”
Jason Smith: “Why did Charles Barkley do this now? I’m sure he thought, I will have to announce this when the NBA Finals are over on Friday night. The Mavericks are down 3-0 so I’m going to announce my retirement. The Maverick win the game so Monday could be the last game and just knowing how things go in this business, I’m wondering if Barkley doesn’t announce tonight... somehow it gets out Saturday or Sunday. He wanted to make the announcement himself.”

Jason Smith and Mike Harmon of The Jason Smith Show elaborate on NBA Hall of Famer and television sports personality, Charles Barkley announcing his retirement from television. Listen to the full segment below!
