Reflecting on This Year’s Baseball Hall of Fame Class

Jason Smith: “This makes me feel old. Not many things in sports make me feel old, but when I think about seeing someone’s career...when I’m a full blown 30 year old man and somebody’s career starts, and I remember it because I was a full blown adult, then we talk about their Hall of Fame case. It makes you feel old. Like, yeah, I remember everything about this guy’s career.”
Mike Harmon: “Oftentimes for me, it’s when the juniors start finding their way into the game, right? We’re old enough that we watched a lot of Ken Griffey Sr, his final years playing in Cincinnati and New York. Then Junior came along, had his whole career, he’s been retired forever and in the Hall of Fame forever.”
