Doug Gottlieb: “The Lions Are Getting Picked Apart”

Now that the Detroit Lions have lost and been knocked out of the NFL Playoffs, it appears to be open season on their coordinators as OC Ben Johnson is leaving for the Bears job, and DC Aaron Glenn is heading to New York to take the Jets vacancy. Doug reminds us that coordinators from successful NFL teams are targets for franchise looking to improve their outlook.

Doug Gottlieb: “Aaron Glenn going to be hired by the Jets. The Lions are getting picked apart. That’s what happens when 1.) You lose early. If you lose early then your coordinators are more likely to be taken, that’s kind of a fact just because of the timeline; and then 2.) When you’re successful for a couple years, people want to get a piece of why.”
