The latest reports out of Dallas have Cowboys owner Jerry Jones looking to promote Offensive Coordinator Brian Schottenheimer to fill their open head coaching position. And while many are criticizing Jerry for not making his usual splashy hire, Doug thinks Schottenheimer might just be the perfect guy for the job. QB Dak Prescott is already familiar with Schottenheimer and the offense and learning new play calls and schemes might be a challenge this late in his career.

Doug Gottlieb: “This is Dak Prescott who said, essentially; I want Mike McCarthy to be our coach. I think he’s one of those guys like, ‘Look dude, I don’t want to learn a whole new language. I like this one. I don’t want to learn a new football language. I like this one. I like this offense. You guys fix the roster. You guys fix the defense. I got the offense.’ Brian (Shottenheimer) is fine!”
