Jason Smith: The finalists for NFL MVP were announced today & the final five are in order, Josh Allen, Saquon Barkley, Joe Burrow, Jared Goff & Lamar Jackson. Let's just say this is the cutoff, right? Right now, outside of the divisional round, into the AFC & NFC Championship game. If you're saying this is where the cutoff is, who's the NFL MVP this year? The NFL MVP is not on this list right now. Who's the NFL MVP? The MVP is Jayden Daniels. Because you see these other guys on the list, Jared Goff is home after a horrendous playoff game, losing oh, by the way, to Jayden Daniels, right? Joe Burrow didn't make the playoffs. Josh Allen has been good, hasn't been unbelievable, and hasn't single handedly won games. Lamar Jackson is home. Who's the guy that has the worst supporting cast & still has his team one game away from the Super Bowl in a season in which they're starting over? He's got the worst skill position players and offensive line and still, Jayden Daniels is dynamic. He's not a game manage, he's putting up huge numbers & he's a dual threat quarterback.
