It looks like Kyrie Irving is understanding what the responsibility of being the best player is all about
In an interview after the Celtics beat the Raptors, Kyrie Irving revealed that he called LeBron James to apologize about how things ended.
I had to call Bron. I had to apologize for being that young player that wanted everything at his fingertips. I wanted to be everything to be at my threshold, I wanted to be a leader, I wanted the responsibility of being the best player in the world.

According to Nicole Yang, Kyrie also said the following:
“It takes a real man to go back and call somebody and be like, ‘Hey man, I was young. I made some mistakes. I wasn’t seeing the big picture like you were. I didn’t have the end of season in mind. I just wanted to get my stats + make All-Star Games.’"
Kyrie Irving put on a great performance in a win over the Raptors on Wednesday night, and all eyes were on him after the game, especially since there's been a lot of beef ongoing beef in Boston with Irving calling out some of his teammates after a losing streak.
In the summer of 2017, Irving decided he was ready to branch out and lead his own team. The Celtics came within one game of the NBA Finals in Irving's first season in Boston before James, and the Cavs eliminated them in the Eastern Conference Finals.
