All-Star Pitcher Signs With Los Angeles Angels

Tyler Anderson is officially moving on from the Dodgers next season.

The Angels are in agreement on a contract with the free-agent lefty Anderson, Jon Heyman of the New York Post reports. Anderson had received a one-year, $19.65MM qualifying offer, but his deal with the Halos means he’s turning that down for a more lucrative pact.

Anderson is coming off the best season of his career at the age of 32, going 15-5 with a 2.57 ERA and 1.02 WHIP in 178.2 innings pitched.

Before Anderson's All-Star year with the Dodgers last season he was mired in mediocrity, routinely posting ERAs in the high 4's his entire career, and never winning double-digit games prior to 2022.

In 2018 Anderson led the MLB in home runs allowed with 30, and was 29-38 before his breakout year in LA.
