He had a problem with Darius Slay, and he had a problem with other guys. This is about the system not being nearly as attractive when Tom Brady is no longer part of the system. Everyone always considered this a great job, ‘OH MY GOD, YOU’RE GOING TO PLAY FOR BILL BELICHICK AND HIS SYSTEM!’ but Belichick now controls personnel and they can’t draft skill people. It’s cold, it’s outdoors, they've got no weapons, and they don’t spend big money on free agents because they want everyone to take a pay cut. Isn’t it funny how attractive the Patriots job looked as a quarterback when Brady was there? Brady leaves, they start losing, and Matt Stafford is like ‘I’ll go anywhere but New England!’ Tim Duncan bought into the Spurs ‘system’, but once Duncan left Kawhi Leonard was like ‘this isn’t interesting at all! This guy is old and rigid and I don’t like him!’ You take Brady out of the New England system, Matt Stafford is like ‘this is the last place I wanna go.’ You take the gambling out of Vegas, and it’s just Phoenix with fewer old people.” (Full Video Above)
