Two-time Pro Bowl Dallas Cowboys defensive end DeMarcus Lawrence is livid over his Madden 20 rating, as the video game leviathan released its official player ratings on Monday.
The 27-year-old former All-Pro (2017) who signed a five year, $105 million contract with the Cowboys in April, had the sixth highest rating among the defensive ends in the video game with an 89, trailing Aaron Donald (99), JJ Watt (99), Calais Campbell (92), Myles Garrett (91), and Cameron Jordan (91), tying with Philadelphia’s Brandon Graham (89).
Lawrence took to Twitter on Monday blasting the Madden franchise, threatening ‘you’re not going to disrespect me like with an 89 rating and get away with it.’
Lawrence, who was ranked the 34th best player in last season’s rankings of the NFL Top 100 Players of 2018, has 25 sacks the last two seasons combined and ranked 8th in the NFL in tackles for loss last season.
Lawrence is now asking Cowboys Nation to boycott the video game and organize a strike to make them ‘correct’ Lawrence’s rating to one more deserving (LOL).
Other stars like Keenan Allen, Tyrann Mathieu, and Eric Ebron have also had tirades over their low ratings.
