Joel Klatt: Joe Burrow is a Better NFL Prospect than Tua Tagovailoa

Joel Klatt: “I think the most well-rounded of the group consisting of Joe Burrow, Tua Tagovailoa, and Justin Herbert, is Burrow.”
Colin Cowherd: “But Tua is Russell Wilson left-handed!”
Klatt: “I love Tua, but part of the issue with Tua is that when you look at his splits and watch his games, when he faces his toughest competition the level of his play goes down.”
Cowherd: “Well, it should, they’re better teams.”
Klatt: “Then why does Joe Burrow’s go up? Why did Baker Mayfield’s go up? Why did Kyler Murray’s go up? There are quarterbacks that have better statistics against better competition. One of the other things that Tua is going to have to show, is him being able to remain healthy.” (Full Video Above)

Listen to Fox Sports college football analyst and FS1 color commentator Joel Klatt explain to Colin Cowherd why he gives LSU quarterback Joe Burrow the slight edge over Alabama’s Tua Tagovailoa, and Oregon’s Justin Herbert in a prized 2020 NFL Draft class of quarterbacks.

Burrow outplayed Tagovailoa in Saturday’s epic #2 vs. #3 showdown in Tuscaloosa that saw Burrow essentially nail down the SEC West, Heisman Trophy, and number one pick all in one fell swoop.

Burrow went 31/39 for 393 yards, 3 TDs and 0 INTs, compared to Tua’s 21/40, 418, 4/1.

Check out the video above as Klatt explains why he likes Burrow over Tua, and also details why Ohio State phenom edge rusher Chase Young could also unseat both star-studded quarterbacks as the first overall pick to likely landing spot Cincinnati.
