Colin Cowherd: “Everyone is saying the Patriots dynasty is OVER and Tom Brady is SHOT. Really? New England had twice as many third downs as Houston, the Patriots were over 50% in third down efficiency, they passed for over 300 yards, rushed for three times as many yards as the Texans, and dominated time of possession. The Patriots problem is called ANTONIO BROWN. If he’s on the team today, they’re favored to win the Super Bowl. New England only does ONE not thing very well –– WIDE RECEIVER.” (Full Video Above)
Listen to Colin Cowherd explain why he thinks the New England Patriots are simply one star wide receiver away from being the Super Bowl favorites and continuing their nearly two-decade long dynasty.
Colin believes ANTONIO BROWN could be the savior in New England should the disgraced former All-Pro wide receiver clear the legal hurdles that previously made him the most toxic name in sports.
With Brown’s infamous exodus coupled with Rob Gronkowski’s retirement and Josh Gordon’s release, the Patriots have one of the league’s least talented wide receiving corps.
After distinguished veteran Julian Edelman’s 124 targets, 82 receptions, and 915 yards, the next most productive wide receiver on the team is Phillip Dorsett, who only has 28 receptions on 48 targets, and 347 yards.
Check out the video above as Colin details why this dynasty hasn’t waned, and why the team is still elite in nearly every asset of the game besides wide receiver.
