Colin Cowherd: “Chiefs fans probably saw the headline ‘Patriots home winning streak snapped at 21’ and were like ‘YEA! I FEEL GREAT ABOUT THAT!’... Kansas City, that wasn’t one of those wins that makes you think you can go into Baltimore or back into Foxboro to win. That wasn’t pretty and it made me MORE concerned about the Chiefs. You scored three points in the second half and didn’t adjust. You better do that against John Harbaugh or Belichick in the playoffs. By the way, you had a punt blocked, you had several officiating gaffes go your way, and you can’t run the football at all. Kansas City won last night, but situationally, they were a mess. I’ll I’m thinking last night is you’re Oklahoma or Oregon with Chip Kelly… You’re fun but you can’t stop anybody.” (Full Video Above)
Listen to Colin Cowherd explain why he wasn’t impressed with the Kansas City Chiefs Week 14 road win at Foxboro that broke the Patriots’ 21-game home winning streak in New England.
The victory clinched the AFC West for the Chiefs and brought them to within one game of the Patriots for the no. 2 seed in the conference, but Colin doesn’t have a lot of hope in this Chiefs team come playoffs when they will likely have to travel to Baltimore or and perhaps back to New England for a rematch. The Patriots end the season with a road game in Cincinnati, and two home games versus the Bills and Dolphins.
Despite the win, the Chiefs only mustered 3 points in the second half and Patrick Mahomes finished with just a 40.5 QBR game; his lowest of the season. Kansas City's running game was miserable as well, rushing 29 times for 75 yards (2.6 YPC).
