Jose Altuve & Alex Bregman Deserve Lifetime Ban, Astros World Series Voided

Ben Maller: “I am calling for Major League Baseball to reopen the investigation. Jose Altuve and Alex Bregman must be banned for LIFE… You have to say ‘we have new information’ and vacate the 2017 World Series too. This is an unprecedented situation in modern sports and Rob Manfred has a chance to fix it. Letting cheating ball players skate unpunished in this story is going to be the legacy of Manfred. He needs to get educated on how these things work. Tom Brady got suspended for his role in the Deflategate cover-up, four players from the Saints led by Jonathan Vilma were initially suspended in the Bountygate scandal in 2011, the infamous Lance Armstrong had 7 trophies from the Tour De France retroactively revoked, we saw Reggie Bush lose the Heisman in college football, Olympians have lost medals for doping, college football and college basketball teams have had titles vacated many times, and even horse racing penalizes cheaters. Baseball is going against the precedent of sport and Rob Manfred is getting the reputation of a ‘Mr. Softy’. Bregman and Altuve are total frauds and need to be suspended for life.” (Full Audio at Bottom of Page)

Listen to Ben Maller explain why he thinks the Houston Astros need to have their 2017 World Series title vacated, and Astros stars Jose Altuve and Alex Bregman be banned from baseball for life.

The Astros were already going to go down in history as perhaps the biggest cheaters in North American sports history for their role in reckless on-field mischief with an illicit sign-stealing operation that had video replay tennants deciphering signs via a monitor near the Astros dugout, and then relaying the signs to the hitters at the plate in real life using artificial noise makers.

New theories exploded onto Twitter on Thursday, revealing damning allegations against Altuve and Bregman using electronic buzzing devices taped to their chests in new and creative ways to be warned on what pitch was coming next.

After Altuve begged his teammates to not tear off his jersey after his walk-off homer versus Yankees closer Aroldis Chapman in Game 6 of the 2019 ALCS, it became apparent Altuve was potentially trying to make sure the buzzer on his chest wouldn’t be revealed.

Altuve would then rush to the clubhouse after the home run in a weirdly brief and unexpected detour that could have been when he disposed of the device before coming back to celebrate their AL championship.

Maller not only thinks the MLB should revisit the case and rightfully revoke the 2017 World Series, but follow in the footsteps of every other professional sports federation when it comes to suspending individual athletes, and not just their teams and superiors.

Check out the audio below as Maller details why Altuve and Bregman can’t be allowed to play in the Majors ever again.
