Colin Cowherd: “Tom Brady will be fine wherever he goes; New England will NOT be fine. They had a succession plan and Robert Kraft got rid of it when they sent Jimmy Garoppolo to San Francisco. It’ll be Jared Stidham and Andy Dalton. New England’s defense is old and getting expensive, their offensive line doesn’t have a Pro Bowler, and they don’t have a tight end or go-to receiver. Nobody denies that Belichick is great but he has a losing record without Tom. Nobody in the AFC is going to trade picks with them and let New England move ahead of them to get a quarterback. That division is legitimate now too.” (Full Video Above)
Listen to Colin Cowherd explain why he thinks the New England Patriots dynasty will quickly turn into a crater if ESPN’s Jeff Darlington’s report about Tom Brady leaving the Patriots is actually accurate.
Darlington believes his sources are telling him that the Patriots are not even talking to Brady at this point, and an unprecedented move after 20 years with New England will be imminent.
Colin believes this will be a deathblow to a Patriots franchise that would then immediately turn to backup quarterback Jarrett Stidham, or test the free agent market with names like Jameis Winston, Marcus Mariota, and Teddy Bridgewater. The Patriots have the 23rd pick in the 2020 NFL Draft and could potentially see quarterbacks like Utah State's Jordan Love, and Washington's Jacob Eason still on the board.
Check out the video above as Colin details why Brady’s legacy will continue on if Brady bolts, but says New England’s will most certainly not.
