Colin Cowherd: “Tua missed four games in two years in the SEC. Easily the most physical conference in college football. Let’s be honest, the Big 12, Pac-12, and ACC outside of Clemson are pillow fights. Is four games in two years ‘injury prone’? I know he plays well when he’s hurt, I saw him throw for 418 yards and four touchdowns against LSU, perhaps the best college football team of all time when he was hurt. We know NFL guys play hurt. He’s had ONE major injury and injury riddled season from high school to college, and in that injury riddled season he missed four games out of 13. Aaron Rodgers has had two collar bone injuries, is he ‘injury-prone?’ I don’t think he is. Big Ben the last decade has started a FULL season 3 times in 10 years. Is Big Ben injury prone? Deshaun Watson tore his knee up in college, he tore it up in the NFL, and he couldn’t even take a plane last year because his kidney was messed up. Is he injury-prone? Carson Wentz has missed eight games in two years, including entire playoff runs and they just signed him to a long-term deal. EVERYBODY IS HURT IN THIS LEAGUE PLAYING QUARTERBACK, except for Russell Wilson and Tom Brady… I see injured quarterbacks winning Super Bowls all over this league.” (Full Video Above)
Listen to Colin Cowherd explain why he thinks Tua Tagovailoa's injury history is being massively overstated, as Colin details all the successful quarterbacks around the NFL who have had noticeable bouts of being banged up and missing time, yet ended up receiving some of the largest paychecks in NFL history.
Check out the video above as Colin wonders why Tua’s injuries are being so inflated, when battered stars like Carson Wentz, Deshaun Watson, Ben Roethlisberger, and Aaron Rodgers get blank checks from their teams.
