Bulls Documentary Will Secure Michael Jordan as Greatest NBA Player Ever

Doug Gottlieb: “If you think there is any debate to who the greatest of all time is, that debate will be ended on Sunday. I know it’s a ten-part series, but the debate will end on Sunday. The only things holding Jordan back as the greatest of all time is the younger generation and stats… The sport has completely changed. All the goons who used to knock Jordan on his ass every time he drove to the hoop during the ‘Jordan Rules’ era of the Detroit Pistons, don’t play in the NBA anymore and there’s nowhere for them to play… You can’t have two slugs anymore, and that would have opened up the lane. Of course he would have been better [ in the modern NBA]. There’s more three’s, there’s more finesse, and there’s no hand-checking anymore… There’s also recency bias. There’s a whole generation of fans who have never seen him play, and when you watch him, you’re gonna be like ‘oh, my God, he’s so much better than I thought.' It’s ridiculous how dominant, and how mentally and physically tough he actually was… If you want to have these debates on 'stats', then Russell Westbrook is the greatest player of the last 25 years in the NBA. Why? Because he averaged a triple-double three years in a row!” (Full Audio Above)
