Doug Gottlieb: “The Redskins have a lot of money locked up in Landon Collins -- NOT a good trade -- and still have a lot of money locked up in the quarterback position – they’re STILL paying Alex Smith… You need more dudes. When the Broncos won a Super Bowl they re-signed Von Miller to a 6-year, $114 million contract, but they’ve been 27-37 since… Look at the Chicago Bears once they paid Khalil Mack a bunch of money. The Redskins need GUYS not ‘A GUY’.The Redskins actually had a good pass rush last year and now you’re going to have a surplus, while you have so many other holes it’s a joke… I don’t think they’re going to get a first round pick for Trent Williams so if you can get a second round pick and maybe another pick for Trent Williams, and then get multiple first round picks in a trade for Chase Young you begin the process of truly re-building the Redskins roster.” (Full Audio Above)
Listen to Doug Gottlieb explain why he doesn’t think the Washington Redskins need Ohio State phenom defensive end Chase Young, as the team is nearly unanimously expected to draft the Buckeyes defensive end with the second overall pick.
Gottlieb detailed why he doesn’t think Young helps a offensively-challenged Redskins team who already has a talented pass rush, and says they need a lot more draft capital to truly rebuild that team.
Check out the audio above as Doug tries to convince Washington to trade the pick.
