Doug Gottlieb: Colin Kaepernick Isn’t Good Enough to Be an NFL Quarterback

Doug Gottlieb: “When was the last time Colin Kaepernick was an elite quarterback? The year was 2013 and we were on the iPhone 1 or 2 at the time. We’re on the iPhone 11 now. The entire football landscape has changed. Are there other issues with why he wasn’t brought it? Sure, I’m not blind to that. In the NFL, if your talent can outplay your issues, you can stay in the league. Adrian Peterson was basically banned from the league for a year, and even though he was in his 30’s he managed to stay in the league. Why? Because he could still run the football… Four years ago was when he was a backup in San Francisco. A BACKUP. He got to start the end of the year and they were terrible. He had empty stats and wins and losses are quarterback stat. Yeah, he was crazy athletic, SEVEN YEARS AGO. He has since had leg surgery and arm surgery and is not the same dude. All of this is dated material since he hasn’t play in the NFL in four years, and you don’t get better sitting out for four years, you get worse.” (Full Segment Above)

Listen to Doug Gottlieb debate with Chris Broussard and Rob Parker on why he thinks Colin Kaepernick’s absence from the NFL is due to him simply not being a very good player at the age of 32, and not having played a down in the league since 2016.

Kaepernick went 1-10 the last season he was in the NFL, and averaged only 186.8 passing yards per game, and just a 59.2% completion percentage.

Check out the segment above as Doug says that Kaepernick hasn’t been a dynamic player since 2013, SEVEN YEARS AGO, and details how the entire NFL landscape has changed since then.
