Highly Anticipated Lakers' 'City Edition' Uniforms Leak on Social Media

Earlier last month, the Los Angeles Lakers defeated the Miami Heat in the Orlando bubble four games to two to take home the NBA Championship. LeBron James captures his fourth NBA title with his third different team and wins the Finals MVP as well. Here are the latest details on the unannounced jerseys with pictures, courtesy of sportslogos.net:

In addition to those pictures, there is a picture of the supposed city jersey circulating on Twitter and it has the name Elgin Baylor stitched on the bottom of it. While that hasn’t been confirmed by yet, it would make sense given that the jersey has elements of the Minneapolis Lakers uniforms and the Los Angeles Lakers uniforms. Baylor played two seasons in Minneapolis before the Lakers relocated to Los Angeles in 1960.

He's one of the few living Lakers legends that hasn’t designed a jersey. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Jerry West also haven’t designed jerseys for the Lakers, although the latter’s willingness to do so is probably hampered by his current affiliation with the Clippers.

With the Golden State Warriors city edition uniforms coming up, we all soon hope to see the official Lakers city edition uniform pretty soon.
