Tom Brady Says 'Good Friend' Antonio Brown is Living With Him in Tampa

Jim Gray: “Tom, Jay Glazer, a terrific reporter for Fox, reported yesterday that you have a new roommate, and Antonio Brown has been staying with you at your home in Tampa learning the playbook. Can you confirm that, and how is it going with Antonio?"

Tom Brady: “Antonio is a good friend mine, and again, we’ve gotten to know each other pretty well over the years. He’s just getting settled and I know he’s looking for places, but it’s just nice to be able to have him around and we’re getting to work, and he likes to be integrated into what we’re doing. It’s a big transition for him moving across the state and really not knowing anyone. Just trying to be a great teammate and help someone out who is a friend of mine.”

Tom Brady recently spoke with Jim Gray on Westwood One Sports to confirm a previous report for Fox Sports’ Jay Glazer that said Antonio Brown was currently living with Brady at his home in Tampa.

After visiting with the Bucs on October 24th, Brown signed a 1-year deal for $750,000 three days later on October 27th, with the chance to earn $2.5 million with incentives.

Brady played with Brown for one game last season in a Week 2 win versus the Miami Dolphins, when Brown caught 4 passes for 56 yards from Brady, including a 19-yard touchdown reception.

Although Brown was only officially with the Patriots for 13 days between September 7th, 2019, and September 20th, 2019, Brown and Brady had developed a close relationship, with Brown living with Brady last season as well for the short time they were teammates.

Brady was reportedly angry that New England had parted ways with Brown when they did, and it is believed that Brown’s exit was one of the main reasons why Brady ultimately left the Patriots for the Bucs after last season, as Brady didn’t believe the team was being fair to him in regards to letting him have a say in offensive personnel.

Brown joins a star-studded Bucs offense, that although loaded on paper, hasn’t been healthy all season. Mike Evans has been hampered by an ankle injury all season, and fellow All-Pro teammate Chris Godwin has missed four games already with finger and hamstring issues.

Brown will reunite with former Steelers offensive coordinator Bruce Arians, but also fellow Steelers teammates Antwaan Randle El, and Larry Foote, who are former Pittsburgh players turned Tampa coaches.
