Rob Parker Rips Tiki Barber For Defending Giants During Brian Flores Saga

Tiki Barber on the Brian Flores lawsuit against the New York Giants: “I know them [the Mara family] intimately, so when I say I don’t believe they're racist, it’s because I know they’re not. They don’t have the right head coach, the Black head coach, black players, they don’t have a Black general manager, or black coordinator. I know they’re not a racist organization, so for Duane [the caller] to try to boil me into saying something that’s not true, it’s frustrating, because you don’t know my truth and you don’t know my interactions with this Giants organization.”

Rob Parker: “Shame on Tiki Barber. I’m glad you got so passionate and so worked up about defending the Mara’s. I’m not here to call them racist or whatever you want to say, but it’s been 100 years in this league of unfair and disgraceful hiring practices. Even so bad that they had to implement a rule called the ‘Rooney Rule’ which would force White owners to even interview Black people. Not even to hire, to INTERVIEW them because coaching cycles went on and on and no Black people were even interviewed. I’m glad you’re so emotional for the Mara’s, I wish you were that emotional for the plight of the Black coaches, but Brian Flores doesn’t matter to you. Neither does Eric Bieniemy or Byron Leftwich. All you did was talk about how they treated YOU, smokescreen the story, steal the story, be mad because people aren’t happy about the Giants’ hiring practices. That’s right, protect that suite invite, and the party invite, and the Christmas party, and the giveaways, and all of that. Tiki doesn’t care, you know why? Because he has a comfy and cozy media job. He’s not in the coaching ranks, he don’t need a gig. Brian Flores gave up his coaching career at 41, you’re not going to take THAT guy seriously? This wasn’t him on his way out at 65 where he drops a bomb and walks out knowing he’s never going to coach again. I doubt Tiki Barber talked about guy after guy, where Black coaches are overlooked, they’ve got better resumes, more experience, probably played in the league, and these young White guys who don’t have any of their experience or resume get hired over and over. The reason we’re here with this lawsuit is because former players and guys like Tiki Barber. They’re enablers. Every time something comes up they run to protect those guys, the offenders. It’s their track record we’re talking about, not them personally, or how they treated YOU. It’s not about how they treat you, Tiki Barber, you got it wrong. Stick to the effing topic at hand… Stop listening to these former athletes when it comes time to defend their school, their former coaches, their former owners, or whatever because these guys are in bed with them. The NFL has a 100-year track record. Stop making excuses and talk about the issue at hand, Tiki. We wanna talk about WHY Eric Bieniemy hasn’t been hired, not whether or not you like somebody because they drafted you, or you played on the team, or they sent you a Christmas card, or invite into their suite. Just because they treat you nicely doesn’t mean they treat everybody else the same way. What the Giants did was a sham, a fraud, and they should be raked over the coals for making Brian Flores perform for a dog and pony show when they already had a coach.” (Full Video Above)

Listen to Rob Parker call out former Giants running Tiki Barber after the ex-Pro Bowl running back publicly defended the Mara family and Giants ownership in the midst of the Brian Flores lawsuit that is alleging racial discriminatory hiring practices when it came to New York's head coach position.

Check out the video above as Parker describes why Barber’s ‘smokescreen’ concerning his own personal relationship with the Giants franchise has nothing to do with Flores’ accusations that alleged he went in for a ‘sham’ interview with the Giants after they had already chosen former Bills OC Brian Daboll for the position.
