Blazin' 5: Colin Cowherd Gives His Five Best NFL Bets For Week 13

(VIDEO SEGMENT ABOVE)

Week 11 Blazin' 5 record: 4-1 (Colin did not do a Blazin' 5 for Week 12)

Blazin' 5 season record: 29-24-2

Chargers at Raiders (SPREAD: LAC -1)

“I’m going to take the Raiders at home +1. They’re coming off an overtime win, back-to-back walk-off overtime wins, so they’re feeling themselves and they have to win here. Their offense is explosive and doesn’t beat itself; only nine giveaways this year, fewest in the league. The Chargers are a weird team, they’ve trailed by 10 or more points in seven of their 11 games, their defense isn’t good and it may be getting worse. The Chargers have allowed 150+ rushing yards in 5 straight games, longest active streak in the league and here comes Josh Jacobs. I like the Raiders to win, I’ll take the points, 31-28.”

Colin's prediction: Raiders 31, Chargers 28.

Colin's pick: Las Vegas +1

Dolphins at 49ers (SPREAD: SF -3)

“My only favorite, I like the Niners -3, It could be uglier. Two teams on winning streaks. The Dolphins five straight and the Niners four straight, but who have the Dolphins beaten? The Steelers, the Lions, the Bears, the Browns, and the Texans. They can’t defend the tight ends and here comes the Niners. They are 4-0 since Christian McCaffrey was inserted into the starting lineup. They have the best scoring defense, the highest receiving yards after the catch— Kittle, Deebo, McCaffrey. I think the Dolphins flying cross country get exposed. Niners win it and cover, 28-24.”

Colin's prediction: 49ers 28, Dolphins 24.

Colin's pick: San Francisco -3

Titans at Eagles (SPREAD: PHI -4.5)

“Like it? I love it! How are the Titans getting 4.5?? Two run-heavy teams, the difference is the Titans have the number three rush defense, and the number one third down defense, they’ll get Philly off the field, Eagles on a short-rest week. Eight of the 11 Titans games have been decided by one possession, and Vrabel has been GREAT in one possession games in his career, 25-13. The Eagles defense, they’ll let you run it, 99+ rushing yards allowed in seven straight games— Derrick Henry? Maybe you’ve heard of him. I think the Titans could be the better team here, I think they win and they cover, Titans 27-24 over Philly.”

Colin's prediction: Titans 27, Eagles 24.

Colin's pick: Tennessee +4.5

Jaguars at Lions (SPREAD: DET -1)

“Lions -1, the line has fluctuated back and forth, I like Detroit at home coming off extra rest. They’ve won three of four. Jared Goff has only been sacked 17 times, that is the fewest of any starting quarterback with 10 starts. This is an elite o-line. Jamaal Williams the running back, has 13 rushing touchdowns. Amon-Ra St. Brown is scheduled to play. The Jags are a young, fun team off a wildly emotional win, Doug Pederson’s biggest, but I think they pull back. They’re not mature enough to finish off games on the road, and the Lions have been a very good home team. Detroit wins, I’ll swallow the points, 32-27.”

Colin's prediction: Lions 32, Jaguars 27.

Colin's pick: Detroit -1

Jets at Vikings (SPREAD: MIN -3)

“I really do like the Vikings although I bet against them a lot because I think they’re overvalued on the market. Jets +3 is the side to me. New York has been a good road team. Why? Because they have a great defense, and defense travels— they’re 4-1 on the road. They’ve held four straight opponents under 200 passing yards, that’s why I like the Jets. Sauce Gardner, the great rookie corner, should slow down Justin Jefferson. Eight of the nine Minnesota wins have come by one possession, they simply play a lot of close games, and their running game— where did it go? Three of the last four games they’ve rushed for under 75 yards. I think this is an ugly, close, low-scoring game, three points is too many, how about a shocker, Jets win and cover, 24-23.”

Colin's prediction: Jets 24, Vikings 23.

Colin's pick: New York +3
