LeSean McCoy: Bill Belichick Is Not on the Same Coaching Level as Andy Reid

LeSean McCoy: “We need to stop putting Bill Belichick’s name with Andy Reid’s. He might have more championships because he had Tom Brady. Every team Andy Reid has been on, they find ways to win. When he got to Philadelphia, they wasn’t good, he changed that thing around. When he got to the Chiefs, they wasn’t good, he changed that thing around. That’s the definition of a really good coach. You drop him ANYWHERE and he’s going to show you results, he’s going to win games, and you’re going to see players get better and better. With Bill Belichick, I don’t see it. Let’s stop putting Bill Belichick’s name with Andy Reid because they’re not close.” (Segment above)

Watch LeSean McCoy, former All-Pro NFL running back and FS1 ‘Speak’ host, explain why he thinks Bill Belichick’s name should not be brought up on the same level as Andy Reid’s when discussing the greatest head coaches in league history, saying Belichick’s 26-29 record since Tom Brady’s exodus from New England has greatly reduced Belichick’s reputation.

Belichick is 299-155 (.659) with New England and Cleveland, with ten Super Bowl appearances and seven championships, while Reid is 250-139 (.642) with Philadelphia and Kansas City, and with four Super Bowl appearances and two championships.

Check out the segment above as McCoy, who played for Reid in Philadelphia for four years before re-uniting with Reid again in Kansas City in 2019,  details why we need to put Reid atop Belichick in the all-time head-coaching ranks.
