COVID-19: NBA Has Reportedly Decided Not to Cancel its 2019/2020 Season

Jason Smith: “How close are we from getting a decision from Adam Silver and the NBA toward the resumption of the season?”
Ric Bucher: “While it hasn’t been said, it’s been decided. We’re going to have games, it’s just a matter of when we’re going to have games and what it’s going to look like. This has always been the intention and they’ve gone too far down the road to suddenly pull up and say ‘this isn’t gonna work.’ They know that they have to resume the season in some form or fashion, it’s just a matter of figuring out what that’s going to look like. I would expect by the first week of June we’re going to get an official announcement.” (Full Interview Above)

NBA insider Ric Bucher joined The Dan Patrick Show (with Doug Gottlieb and Jason Smith hosting) to explain that the NBA has already decided that it will continue its 2019-2020 season, and will not cancel the entire year because of the coronavirus pandemic, like previously feared.

Bucher says the league has already made tat decision internally and that we will get an official announcement by the first week in June.

Check out the interview above as Bucher details what that resumed season will potentially look like, as the league is floating creative ideas and never before seen scenarios for the season to be salvaged in an entertaining format to fans who won’t be able to physically be there to see.
