Clippers Players Reportedly Grew Tired of Paul George

Chris Broussard: “I've been told that there are role players on the Clippers that believe they're as good as Paul George… Doc Rivers gives special treatment to his stars, but players don't understand it being given to Paul when he doesn't produce like Kawhi Leonard… The players see that Doc doesn’t really hold his superstars accountable and this dates back to when he had Chris Paul, Blake Griffin, and DeAndre Jordan.” (Full Segment Above)

Listen to Chris Broussard explain the turmoil he’s heard surrounding the failed 2020 Los Angeles Clippers team that was shockingly dumped from the playoffs in the second round at the hands of the Denver Nuggets after blowing a 3-1 series lead.

Broussard reported that the Clippers held a team meeting hours after they were knocked out by the Nuggets talking about what they needed to do to be back and firing again ‘next year’, but some players on the team were disillusioned with the idea of George coming back at all.

Broussard says a contingent of Clippers players doesn’t like how Clippers head coach Doc Rivers gives ‘star’ treatment to George alongside fellow All-NBA player Kawhi Leonard, when George hasn’t ever produced at the same level Kawhi has.

He added that some players on the Clippers believe they’re BETTER than PG-13, and feel he shouldn’t have ever been awarded all these privileges by the coaching staff that Kawhi has justifiably received.
