Colin Cowherd: Why the Heat Should Be Considered the NBA Finals Favorites

Colin Cowherd: “This is why I like Miami. The Bubble is never going to happen again. The Bubble has obviously been very good for young players. Old guys don’t want a new adventure. Young guys go and play in the NBA and go home and play video games. That’s what the Bubble is, it’s an AAU tournament, and it’s never going to happen again. LeBron is not looking in year 17 for a ‘NEW ADVENTURE!’ in the playoffs. Dude wants to see his wife in the morning, his kids in the afternoon, get a day off, do yoga, game over. He’s over new experiences in the playoffs. It’s not as tough for young people. Credit to the Miami Heat, because ‘Rare’ happened, and because they do a great job at finding talent and developing it quickly, Tyler Herro rewards them. The Bubble is not going to happen again, but it’s not a shock that Pat Riley’s team has taken advantage of it… If I would have told you ‘yeah, there’s this weird NBA thing that happened, it’s once in a lifetime and happened right during the playoffs’ and you’re like ‘who ended up figuring it out?’, If I told you ‘Pat Riley’, you’d be like ‘oh, yea, of course.’” (Full Video Above)

Listen to Colin Cowherd explain why he thinks the Miami Heat went from an uninteresting and extraneous number five seed in the Eastern Conference, to potential NBA Finals champion, as Colin says the Heat have taken advantage of the NBA’s playoff Bubble in the most unprecedented playoff environment in league history.

Check out the segment above as Colin details why he thinks young teams have taken advantage of this 2020 NBA season that will surely be fondly footnoted in history for the rest of time, and why he thinks veteran teams have struggled to assert their dominance.
