Colin Cowherd: Can't Take Packers Seriously as Super Bowl Contenders

Colin Cowherd: “The Packers are the convertible sports car of the NFL. Nobody looks cooler, nobody looks better in better weather, they just scream country club living, but they’ve never won a fight in their life. I wanted to see Green Bay play the Colts in what would be an ugly football game. The Colts are physical, their offensive line is great, they challenge your manhood, and what happened? The Packers looked really good for a half and then when the second half became a little bit of a fist fight Green Bay rolled over. This is why I can’t take them seriously. They’re going to win out on their schedule, they play a bunch of bad teams, but if you start looking at the second half numbers it was classic Green Bay. Could they run the ball? Nope, 66 yards rushing. Turnovers? They got uncomfortable, the Colts have a pass rush – FOUR. Time of possession they got smoked. They remain the convertible sports car of the NFL and SUVs win in this league once you get to Thanksgiving.” (Full Video Above)

Listen to Colin Cowherd explain why he doesn’t think the Green Bay Packers can be trusted as legitimate Super Bowl contenders coming off their overtime loss to the Indianapolis Colts, as Colin says they’re the ‘convertible sports car’ of the NFL, and a team who’s fun and exciting during the warm months, but obsolete come late fall and winter around playoff time as the games slow down and become more physical.

Check out the video above as Colin details why although he thinks the Packers will finish 13-3 with a soft remaining schedule, he believes they’re not on the same level as a physical team like Tampa who will just bully them around.
