Colin Cowherd: Aaron Rodgers is More Valuable than Patrick Mahomes

Colin Cowherd: “I don’t think the media understands the word ‘valuable.’ Aaron Rodgers is the most ‘VALUABLE’ player in the National Football League, and probably has been for most of the last 10 years. It doesn’t mean he’s better than Patrick Mahomes; it’s the called the ‘Most VALUABLE Player’. Green Bay turns off 95% of free agents; they don’t wanna play there. They don’t have an owner, so Aaron can't walk down the hall to a Jerry Jones, or a Jerry Laurie, or one of the Rooney’s and say ‘man, I need help here.’ I mean Andy Reid was asking Patrick Mahomes ‘who do YOU want us to draft?’ Aaron is in a market that needs him significantly more than he needs the Green Bay Packers. I’m not saying that Mahomes isn’t great, but Kansas City won a Super Bowl with Len Dawson, and got to the playoffs with lots of guys – Joe Montana, and Alex Smith. Mahomes is benefitting greatly from Andy Reid, that offensive line, and that front office. Would Mahomes be this good in Jacksonville? He would still be great, but he wouldn't be THIS. Aaron Rodgers doesn’t need Green Bay. They would be awful without him, and they’d be the Jags.” (Full Video Above)

Listen to Colin Cowherd explain why he thinks Aaron Rodgers should win the NFL MVP over Patrick Mahomes this season, and why he believes Rodgers is the most ‘valuable’ player in the NFL at the moment, and probably has been for the last decade.
