Mayne posted on his personal Twitter account that he was leaving ESPN and described himself as a 'salary cap casualty.'
Mayne began with the network in 1994.
Dan worked at ESPN from 1989 to 2007, and says he and Mayne were on-air partners on Sportscenter in the mid-’90s when Mayne replaced Keith Olberman.
