Week 4-1

Ravens at Steelers (SPREAD: BAL -4.5)

"The Steelers are getting crushed by everybody but I'm going to take Pittsburgh +4.5. They have won five of six against the Ravens. Lamar Jackson, more than any opponent, struggles against Pittsburgh. His passer rating against the Steelers is 66. Eight of the last nine games in this matchup have been decided by one score, and the Steelers defense led by TJ Watt is again very, very good. Don't sell all your stock because they had a lousy weekend in Pittsburgh. Pittsburgh and Tomlin, when they can be underdogs are very effective, especially against rivals. Baltimore is more banged up, and yes they've got three wins, but they got CJ Stroud in his pro debut, injured Joe Burrow, and Gardner Minshew. Take a deep breath, Baltimore is good but overvalued, Pittsburgh is pretty good but undervalued -- I think the Steelers cover. Ravens win, it's a classic Steelers/Ravens matchup, 24-23 Baltimore. I'm going to take the 4.5 points with Pittsburgh."

Colin's prediction: Ravens 24, Steelers 23

Colin's pick: Pittsburgh +4.5

Saints at Patriots (SPREAD: NO -1)

“Saints -1 is the side. First of all, New Orleans is a top 10 scoring defense despite what you saw last week. They have one takeaway in nine straight games, that's the longest active streak in the NFL, and they have a good defensive coach. Plus, they have the better quarterback in that game. Derek Carr didn't play well last week but Derek Carr is healthier this week. The Patriots are the story: 0-2 at home, and the last eight games for Mac Jones he's not good. When he got into this league the o-line was good. Since Dante Scarnecchia the o-line play for New England is average. They have the 28th best o-line according to PFF. They're beat up: Christian Gonzalez and Matt Judon are out. They went and got JC Jackson who they couldn't get out of the building fast enough. Now they went out and got him again. There is a feel of desperation. I get the better quarterback, better roster, better offensive line, and some young receivers for the Saints I like. 24-20, I'm taking the Saints."

Colin's prediction: Saints 24, Patriots 20

Colin's pick: New Orleans -1

Titans at Colts (SPREAD: TEN -2.5)

“Wise guys like the Titans but I like the Colts +2.5. Jonathan Taylor is back, and running backs can come right back into practice and be productive. It's one of the rare positions you can do it; cornerback the other, so I like what I see. Anthony Richardson for a rookie quarterback-- seven touchdowns and one interception, he's not giving it away. The most underrated o-line in the league could be the Colts, it's fourth-best according to PFF. The Titans are a BB gun offense, a water pistol-- 13 red zone trips and only five touchdowns. They're a bad road team, 0-2 on the season, and they're 28th in total offense. The Titans banged on an injured Joe Burrow, they'll come back down to earth. The wiseguys like Tennessee, I like the Colts to win 27-21."
Colin's prediction: Colts 27, Titans 21

Colin's pick: Indianapolis +2.5

Eagles at Rams (SPREAD: PHI -4.5)

“I'm taking Philadelphia here -4.5. Maybe it's not the best number, but I know what I get with Philadelphia. They're one of two teams in the league that have scored 25+ points in every game this year, the Niners are the only other one. I know what I get with Jalen Hurts. He's 21-1 in his last 22 games, they're gonna win the game. His passer rating has been 100, I know what I'm going to get with Jalen Hurts. His last 22 games he is the model of consistency and I think they've found their offensive groove. Their defense is the highest-rated run defense in the league, and the Rams o-line is patchwork. Stafford will be forced to pass the ball, he's not 100%. Cooper Kupp is back, but wide receivers and quarterbacks are about timing, and they have not played together for awhile. The Rams defense, it's getting lauded, but ten times people have gotten to the red zone against the Rams and have scored all ten times, seven touchdowns. It'll be a home game for Philadelphia, beats the Rams 27-21."

Colin's prediction: Eagles 27, Rams 21

Colin's pick: Philadelphia -4.5

Bengals at Cardinals (SPREAD: CIN -3)

“I'm going to give the Bengals one last shot, I got Cincinnati -3, at times it was -2.5. Joe Burrow was removed from the injury report, this is the healthiest he's been. The season is on the line, they're in a great division. The Cardinals are coming off a Niners game. Remember last year when teams played the Niners? They lost every time the following week. You play the Niners and you get physically beat up. The Cardinals are a bad fourth quarter team, so even when the Cardinals outplay you-- they've given up 37 points in the fourth. They're lousy, and even when they outplay you they lose momentum. The Cardinals are bad late, and Burrow is great late in his history. The Cardinals defensively are bad at everything. They allow a 51% third-down conversion rate. Burrow is healthy, I think the Bengals get healthy, I'd swallow the 3, Cincinnati 27-20 over Arizona. Good game, fun to watch, but I'll take Cincinnati."

Colin's prediction: Bengals 27, Cardinals 20

Colin's pick: Cincinnati -3.5
