Eagles Traded Former All-Pro Haason Reddick

The Philadelphia Eagles have reportedly traded former All-Pro pass rusher Haason Reddick to the New York Jets in exchange for a 2026 NFL Draft conditional pick, sources with knowledge of the situation confirmed to ESPN's Adam Schefter on Friday (March 29).

"Trade: Eagles are sending edge-rusher Haason Reddick to the New York Jets for a conditional 2026 third-round pick that could be a second, sources tell ESPN. The 2026 pick becomes a 2nd if Reddick has 67.5% playtime this season and has 10 or more sacks. If not, it’s a 2023 third," Schefter wrote on his X account.

The Jets confirmed the reported trade, including Schefter's report in their 'Free Agency (And Trade) Tracker' article on their official website, as well as posting "our defense>>>" with the article and a previous post of a devil emoji following the reported trade.

The Eagles traded Reddick prior to the April 1 deadline in which his $1 million roster bonus was due and the Jets will "presumably" be "on the hook" for the bonus by the end of the week unless they work out a new deal with the Pro Bowler, according to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler.

"Eagles beat the April 1 deadline. Jets presumably on the hook for the $1M by end of week unless new deal worked out," Fowler wrote on his X account.

Reddick started in all of the Eagles' regular season and postseason games during each of the past two seasons, recording 38 tackles, 13 tackles for loss, 11.0 sacks and 23 QB hits, while being selected to the Pro Bowl for the second consecutive year in 2023. The former Temple standout was also a second-team All-Pro during Philadelphia's NFC Championship season in 2022.
