Boston Celtics fans have celebrated this offseason, and assume that Gordon Hayward is one of the pieces they need in place to compete for a berth in the NBA Finals. They've written long think-pieces about how Gordon fits in with the current crop, plugged his averages in and calculated the season's outcome, blah blah blah... they are all forgetting one thing.
We have seen NBA stars integrated into teams before, and it is hardly ever a seamless process. With a ball-dominant scoring PG like IT4, Boston is going to have to remold a lot of what it does to incorporate some new dynamic pieces.
