“This is football speaking, it’s not about race.”
After Joe Montana was on record comparing Colin Kaepernick to Tim Tebow, and saying that his flair for relegating himself to the tabloids made him an immense distraction not worth his salt, Jason Whitlock reiterated his feelings of the media firestorm erroneously tabbing the story as a tale about race relations in the NFL.
Whitlock said Joe Montana’s point of view is far from racist, and also brought up the career of former QB phenom Jeff George. George was one of the most controversial and criticized NFL players of the 90's, for his arrogance and notable stints of acting out as a Prima Donna. Even though George was one of the most gifted QB's in NFL history, the league finally got sick of his act, and cut ties with his the distractions he carried with himself, even though his talent was undeniable.
Colin Kaepernick is this generation's, Jeff George said Whitlock.
