The United State's Men's National Team defeated Jamaica 2-1 last night to claim the Gold Cup on American soil and celebrated deservedly through the night. Spectacular goals from Jozy Altidore and Jordan Morris were enough to overcome a stingy and disciplined Jamaican side, and there hasn't been a bigger night for American soccer in a long time.
Coincidentally, this came on a day where the future of football was put into question, at least in the media, due to a CTE study that rocked the sporting landscape. We had a day that literally signified a possible future change in culture, and it got Clay Travis thinking.
