Blake Bortles is Football's Worst Starting Quarterback

“Blake Bortles is the worst quarterback of any team in the NFL.”

Making front page news for a poor performance during summer practices of all places may be a bit of a reach when it comes to the Blake Bortles Doomsday narrative that has been slowly building around him the last calendar year, but Clay Travis wants to know what exactly has Bortles accomplished in his career that would lead you to believe that he’s a deserving NFL starter?

Sure, throwing 35 TDs in 2015 looks pretty admirable at first glance, but how good do those TD’s look when you add in the fact he led the league in interceptions, sacks, and fumbles?

2016 saw Bortles finish middle-of-the-road in passing yards and TD’s, ranking 15th in both categories, but also had him 28th in completion percentage, 28th in yards per attempt, and 28th in the almighty end-all passing category of QBR.

With Bortles’ career record sitting at a deplorable 11-34, how is Bortles not the worst starting quarterback in the NFL?
