Donald De La Haye Suspended by UCF, Not NCAA

Donald De La Haye is a popular NCAA Football player for UCF, due to the fact that he makes comical and interesting videos on his personal Youtube channel. He also profits off of these videos, seizing the opportunity that every single one of us has to produce original content and entice sponsorship revenue.

Now, that was apparently deemed a problem by the NCAA, and it was reported that De La Haye was being suspended for all of next season for profiting off of his videos. Today was a day filled with support for the Player, and "shame on you" being sent out to the NCAA.

Well, turns out that isn't quite true.

Apparently, the NCAA is NOT the scapegoat here, and UCF is the reason Donald De La Haye will no longer compete at the NCAA level as a student-athlete.

What this means is simple. In a rush to pile on the NCAA, most major blogs and publications forgot to check the facts of the 'ineligible' verdict. Great news cycle we live in now.
