There's No Benefit to the NFL Preseason

Odell Beckham Jr

New  York Giants star wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. was injured during last night's game against the Cleveland Browns after taking a low hit from Browns cornerback Briean Boddy-Calhoun. Beckham has been diagnosed with an ankle sprain, but Beckham is expected to undergo further tests in New York later today.

Although it appears Beckham has escaped serious injury, the thought of OBJ missing significant time should be enough for the NFL to consider overhauling its preseason slate. Clay Travis argues that the NFL should do away with the current 4-game preseason schedule, and he has a few compelling reasons why.
